Happy Birthday to me and Merry Christmas!!

Finally on the road after a days delay. We couldnt get the house all packed in time so to calm the situation we decided we would just wait another day. We left at 11am and after getting pulled into a RBT and Clint abusing the coppers we finally arrived at Freshwater point at about 3ish. It was a free camp (actually had a sign that said no camping, oh well) so there was nobody else there but us, it was about 5 metres from the beach. We were so tired we all crashed about 8pm.

Headed to Geraldton and went to visit some rellies, uncle uptus, aunty, Yati and safic, got some yummy biscuits, muffins, fish crackers, fish & some sarong pants!! (good travelling pants). We stayed at coronation beach which was a free camp also on the beach. It rained the second night and got a bit muddy but the sun came out the next day and it was beautiful. Meeting some really nice people with lots of useful information for us. Our last night there though, we ran out of water in our tanks and at the free camp places some do not have any water for you to use. Um I used the 20litre water can to store my rice whoopsy. So we were off to bunnings the next day to get water containers.

Had a nice day walking along the beach with the kids collecting shells and looking for crabs. Headed into town to get a few bits and bobs. We have had a lot of early nights, seems sitting in the car is a bit tiring we are lucky if we are up later than 9.30 at the moment, but oh so peaceful and quiet.

Didnt go to far today. Its my birthday yeah! I had bad dreams all night, dreaming about noT knowing how old I was going to be...was I 39, 29 or 49, luckily I woke up and didnt feel any older. WE stayed at another free camp Galena Bridge on the Murchinson River it was lovely but bloody freezing during the night. I also have a gastro bug of some sort which is just lovely...NOT

Not feeling the ticket couldnt eat brekky, gastro really setting in, not throwing up just a few cramps. We left Galena at 9.30am which has been the earliest yet and we are heading up to Monkey Mia.

We are staying in Denham at the caravan park and its so nice looking out over that crystal blue water. Have been eating crackers all day and drinking hot water and red cordial, so far so good havent been to the loo yet. Happy to be connected to the park power and water, at least I dont have to worry too much about how much water I am using and I can heat Isla's milk up in the microwave. Free camping is good, free and peaceful but it is nice to have all the comforts at a caravan park once in a while AND I need to do a washing run. I so cant wait to get into the warmer weather and pack the winter stuff away, its ok but not really shorts weather as yet.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME MERRY CHRISTMAS, the birthday gastro has got worse, I am so sick and really tired from not eating. Woke up in the middle of the night with a fever, shivering so I took a couple of panadol and threw them up, then had to go to the showers in the middle of the night. I am not happy Jan and not really enjoying myself. We are staying in Denham now till I get better.

Tuesday morning after my dramatic night we woke up early to go feed the dolphins. I should be ok if I dont eat anything, not really hungry anyway. Heaps of people in Monkey Mia waiting for the dolphin feed about 100 tourists showed up at the beach at 8am. They only selected 15 people to feed them and Slade was lucky enough to be chosen. Shelby was not happy about not being picked, she was asking 'why didnt that stupid girl pick me, couldnt she see me' haa ha. I had to explain to her that the dolphins can only eat so much in one feed and she was sort of happy after a few hissy fits.

After the feeding we headed to Shark bay Ocean park, where there were Sharks, fish and turtles, that was ok but similar to Hillarys. The guide gave us some useful tips on fishing and how to handle fish and he also told us that what REX HUNT does to the fish in regards to kissing them is such a bad thing to do. He said that when fish are handled too much and then thrown back other fish can smell this and they kill these fish. Ok...but if you didnt throw the fish back your going to eat it anyway and then its dead...WHAT THE??

We didnt stay long I was feeling really crook, but I soldiered on to SHELL BEACH and it was worth it. Its a long stretch of beach that is just made up of small shells. Really awesome.

The water was freezing but the kids stripped off and went in the water. Im pretty sure it was the spot Lara Bingle shot the advert for "Where the bloody hell are you" campaign. It was a magic spot. After the swimming we went and did some 4 Wheel driving and then went and walked out a 100metre sand bank.

Found another lookout which has just been built and it overlooks to Steep Point & Useless Loop where Uncle Rod & Uncle Brock and their mates go fishing, its called the Boardwalk very scenic.

As we head home late in the afternoon I am not doing too well, so mum called Dr Jee for me and he faxed a script to me in Denham for some super strong antibiodics. As I explained my symptoms it appeared that I have Gardia which is a bug you get from eating something not good, which, I suppossedly had before I left as Gardia has a 9 day incubation period. So gross I know. But I took these tablets in the late of the afternoon and after my belly sounding like a volcano for the rest of the night rumbled and gurgled I awoke and felt a million dollars!! Wasnt rushing into eating anything almost sounded too good to be true that these tablets (4 tabs to be taken all at once) worked so fast. Clint was wrapped I was feeling better and we headed off to Carnarvon. Now I am ready to enjoy myself.
