Well the date has been set for Tuesday the 25th August 2009, even while I type the date my stomach does backflips.
I think its because I am in two thoughts, one...excited at going on an adventure and two...to have to say goodbye to everyone especially mumma.
Well in our monster looking van, we are going to head north first and as we already went up as far as Jurien on our mini trip, we can now go as far as Kalbarri or Geraldton.
Our mini tour was a successful one in the caravan. She kept us safe and secure although it did get a bit chilly down in the south, if that was the least of our troubles we did well. We had a hail storm in Mandurah where I thought glass was smashing on the roof of the van. I guess because I knew the solar panels were up there, that I was unsure how strong they would be...silly me. It sure was loud and it woke Isla up a couple of times but she was ok once she snuggled up to mum and dad.
The kids took to their triple bunks very good, I guess its a bit of novelty as grandma norma says, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They enjoy their sleep so I dont have much of a concern.
The change of open space from house to van was not too much of a shock, I managed well with the cooking, kinda missed having my own washing machine (having 3 kids can be alot of washing sometimes) and having to pay $4 a load. I just made the kiddies wear their clothes for a little longer. You might notice this when you look at the photo's as Isla wears her Vegemite vest almost everyday.
We also have one of the largest fridges for a caravan which is ok (we have two large ones at home) just found we had to buy loaves of bread every other day ... the kids love their sandwiches. Most of the freezer space is taken up by meat, this kinda supports Clint's need to purchase an Engel fridge.
